Day 1 – Arrival
Flights from various providers to Tromsø (TOS). We then embark on the approximately two-hour crossing to Lyngen to our beach house in Lyngenfjord. The journey offers fascinating first impressions of Norway's fjord landscapes.
Day 2 to Day 7
Daily fantastic tours to the peaks around our base. The mountain world around the Lyngen Fjord is very diverse. The landscape is strongly influenced by glaciers from the Ice Age, and even today some of the ice masses still reach close to the coast. Forests or ‘shrubs’ are only found in the lowest areas, and even there they are sparse. The landscape is dominated by wide, white areas that we would describe as ‘dream slopes’. Most of the starting points can be reached by car. We may also take a ferry to reach other regions. On Saturday, we pack up and drive back to Tromsø. Of course, we want to make the most of this day in terms of touring, so we either go on another tour in the Lyngen Alps or on the way, ‘out of the boot’, so to speak. Once we arrive in Tromsø, we will check into the hotel, change into our finest clothes and head out into the city's alleys and streets. We will round off the week of touring with a leisurely dinner in a restaurant.
Day 8 – Departure day
Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on flight connections, transfer to the airport and return journey.
Cosy lodges or hotels in prime locations
The tours require a good level of fitness, with daily ascents of between 750 and 1,400 metres.
The focus is on enjoying the impressive landscape and the experience.
The kick turn technique and practice in using crampons are advantageous for the ascents.
The descents require confident skiing in alpine terrain.
The tours are tailored to the weather conditions, snow conditions and performance level of the group.
On the day of arrival at Tromsø Airport. In the event of different arrival times, we will arrange for the latest arrivals (no later than 6 p.m.). Please let us know your flight details in good time.
You will receive detailed information about the itinerary and a list of equipment after booking. If you have any questions in advance, please contact us directly.
Please note that we require travel cancellation insurance for participation in all our events. Participation also requires acceptance of our terms and conditions.
