The Hohe Tauern National Park Flight is AIRTIME AUSTRIA’s most extensive tandem paragliding experience. During this longer flight, you can enjoy sweeping views across Hohe Tauern National Park, its glaciers, valleys and mountain peaks.
In suitable conditions, the panorama may include Austria’s highest mountains, the Grossglockner and the Grossvenediger. This flight is particularly suitable for anyone who would like to combine nature, thermals and exceptional alpine scenery.
What to expect on the Hohe Tauern National Park Flight
After travelling together to the take-off point, your tandem pilot carefully prepares the paraglider and all the necessary equipment. Before take-off, you will receive a detailed briefing about the take-off, flight and landing.
During the flight, your pilot uses suitable updraughts and thermal conditions to gain additional height and remain airborne for longer. This opens up sweeping views across the mountain landscape of Hohe Tauern National Park.

Who is the National Park Flight suitable for?
The National Park Flight is suitable for anyone who would like to spend longer in the air and experience the alpine landscape of the Hohe Tauern in a particularly intense way. It is ideal for nature lovers, mountain enthusiasts and passengers looking for an exceptional tandem paragliding experience.
No previous experience is required. A normal level of physical fitness and the ability to take a few steps during take-off are usually sufficient.
Panoramic views of the Grossglockner and Grossvenediger
Depending on the take-off point, altitude and weather conditions, the views may extend across the glaciers, valleys and peaks of Hohe Tauern National Park. In good visibility, the Grossglockner and Grossvenediger may also form part of the panorama.
As visibility, thermals and the flight route depend on the current conditions, views of specific peaks cannot be guaranteed.
Thermals and a longer flying time
The National Park Flight depends on suitable thermal conditions. Rising warm air allows your tandem pilot to gain height and extend the flight.
The actual flying time may vary depending on the weather, wind and thermal conditions. Safety and suitable flying conditions always come first.
Optional High-End Summit Flight
In ideal conditions, the National Park Flight can be extended for an additional charge to include a High-End Summit Flight towards the Grossglockner.
Whether this extension is possible depends on the current weather, wind and thermal conditions. Details and the additional price are arranged individually.
Weather, booking and take-off point
The exact meeting point and take-off location are arranged according to the weather, wind, thermal conditions and time of year.
If the flight has to be postponed due to weather or safety reasons, an alternative date will be arranged. You can change your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed flight time.
